Terms of Service

Effective date: January 1, 2026

Terms at a Glance

Starcastle is an AI consensus service that routes your prompts to third-party AI models and returns AI-generated outputs that may be inaccurate—so you're responsible for verifying anything you rely on. You must be at least 13, keep your account secure, and not misuse the service (e.g., illegal content, abuse, scraping, or bypassing limits). Paid plans auto-renew unless you cancel in your account settings; we may offer free trials that convert to paid unless you cancel before the trial ends; credits reset each billing period and don't roll over; and payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law (though we may issue refunds/credits at our discretion). The service is provided "as-is," liability is limited, and disputes are handled through individual arbitration (with an opt-out). See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StarCastle, LLC ("Starcastle," "we," "us," or the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) The Service

Starcastle provides a multi-AI consensus platform that routes user prompts to one or more third-party AI models and presents responses (including consensus-driven outputs). Learn more about how AI consensus works. Starcastle acts as an intermediary between you and third-party AI providers. Model availability, quality, and behavior may change over time.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not directed to children under 13.

3) Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree not to share or transfer your account. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

4) Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • violate any law or regulation, or violate others' rights;
  • generate, share, or facilitate illegal content or content that is harmful or abusive;
  • attempt to bypass usage limits or security measures, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
  • scrape, probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities, or use automated access in a way that exceeds reasonable request volume or violates our technical restrictions;
  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract underlying models, prompts, or system components (except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law);
  • upload malware or otherwise introduce harmful code.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations or suspected abuse.

5) Your Content and License

"User Content" includes prompts, inputs, and other content you submit to the Service.

As between you and Starcastle, you retain ownership of your User Content.

You grant Starcastle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display User Content solely to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; provide support; comply with law; and enforce these Terms.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and grant this license.

6) AI Output; No Reliance

AI-generated outputs are produced by third-party models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or offensive. You are responsible for verifying outputs.

THE SERVICE AND AI OUTPUT DO NOT CONSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL ADVICE (INCLUDING LEGAL, MEDICAL, FINANCIAL, OR OTHER REGULATED ADVICE). DO NOT RELY ON AI OUTPUT AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE AND HUMAN JUDGMENT.

7) Third-Party Services and Model Providers

The Service relies on third-party services including OpenRouter for AI routing and underlying model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google DeepMind. Your use may be subject to third-party terms and policies. Starcastle is not responsible for third-party services and does not guarantee any particular model will be available at any time.

8) Subscriptions, Free Trials, Billing, and Credits

a) Subscriptions and auto-renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, monthly) and automatically renew unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. California law requires clear renewal and cancellation practices for consumer subscriptions, and we aim to make cancellation straightforward and online. (See "Cancellation" below.)

b) Free trials

We may offer free trials. Trial length and eligibility will be disclosed at signup. Unless otherwise disclosed, free trials convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends. We may limit trials (e.g., one per user) and may modify or end trial offers at any time to prevent abuse. Where required by applicable law, we may send you a reminder before a free trial or promotional period ends.

c) Credits

Plans may include AI usage credits. Credits reset each billing period and do not roll over unless we explicitly say otherwise. Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.

d) Pricing and plan changes

Prices, included credits, and plan features may change from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes as required by law.

e) Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription online through your account settings (or by contacting support). If you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period unless we state otherwise at the time of cancellation.

f) Failed payments

If payment fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend or terminate access until payment is successfully processed.

g) Refunds

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. We may issue refunds or credits in our sole discretion.

9) Intellectual Property

Starcastle and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, branding, and technology (excluding User Content). These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

10) Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe: (i) you violated these Terms; (ii) your use poses a security risk or legal exposure; or (iii) we must do so to comply with law. Where appropriate, we will attempt to provide notice.

11) Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARCASTLE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

12) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • STARCASTLE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
  • STARCASTLE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STARCASTLE FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY AMOUNTS).

13) Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless Starcastle and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14) Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.

a) Informal resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@starcastle.ai and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

b) Arbitration

If we cannot resolve the dispute, you and Starcastle agree to resolve any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service through binding arbitration on an individual basis, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief for alleged misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Service.

c) No class actions

You and Starcastle agree that claims will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.

d) Opt-out

You may opt out of arbitration by emailing support@starcastle.ai within 30 days of first accepting these Terms with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and including your account email.

e) Location

The arbitration will be conducted in Santa Clara County, California (or remotely), unless the parties agree otherwise.

15) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-product). Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
